Nate Neal began his career as a professional cartoonist working for Mad, Nickelodeon and SpongeBob among other publications and companies. He is the creator of the acclaimed, Xeric Award winning graphic novel, The Sanctuary, about a paleolithic cave painter, published by Fantagraphics Books. He wrote and directed a live-action movie called Invisible Ink that satirizes his experiences within the New York City cartooning scene. He lives in Brooklyn, New York with his partner Virginia Lloyd and their daughter Hazel.
