About Invisible Ink...
Invisible Ink is a comedy about two struggling New York cartoonists—one male, one female.
Chester Segar (Sean Shannon) wants his graphic novel to be noticed and taken seriously by established cartoonists like the Pulitzer Prize-winning Max Moskowitz (Ozzie Frankel) and the polarizing recluse Don Ism (Gary Perrine). For Elzie Gould (Kalen Marie), her goal is simple, and almost impossible: to have a cartoon published in the most prestigious magazine in the country.
Invisible Ink was shot on location in the cramped apartments and crowded streets of New York City. Its dry humor, stark black and white cinematography, use of classical music, assured storytelling and first-hand insight into one of the least visible corners of the art-world makes for an idiosyncratic and inimitable cinematic experience.
